Speech Therapy in South Tenerife

The adult speech therapy service focuses on identifying the source of the problem and creating a suitable plan to address damage to auditory, oral, and writing functions or to improve difficulties arising from other types of disorders. It includes the diagnosis of pathological alterations, intervention in the area of literacy, improving voice use, and auditory, oral, and writing rehabilitation.

Additionally, in the clinical setting, our areas of intervention include:

• Electrostimulation: A technique applied in areas such as voice, dysphagia, dysarthria, motricity, orofacial issues, atypical swallowing, lack of strength, absence of sensation, and sigmatism, among others.
• Dry Needling: A technique used to eliminate pain, providing optimal treatment for facial paralysis and voice issues. Aesthetic dry needling is also used to relieve facial tension caused by stress, fatigue, etc.
• Facial Lymphatic Drainage: Its main purpose is to aid in the healing process of an inflammatory phase.
• Fonoaesthetic therapy: A new service focusing on the elongation and relaxation of the orofacial muscles through massages and appropriate contractions, avoiding unnecessary spontaneous movements. Some of its benefits include: eliminating puffiness around the eyes and eyelids, reducing double chin, lifting cheekbones, and reducing expression lines, wrinkles, and sagging, while improving circulation and giving the face a more rested appearance.
